The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is one of The Art Institutes, a system of over 40 education institutions located throughout North America, providing an important source of design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts professionals.
The primary mission, focus, and ultimate goal of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is to assist students toward the successful achievement of a satisfying career in their chosen field. To this end, we have brought together a dedicated group of individuals who are committed to providing students with career-oriented curricula - including the organizational, interpersonal, and theoretical, as well as, the practical skills needed to become a well-trained entry-level job candidate in today’s competitive job market.
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh offers the following degree programs: Bachelor of Science degree programs in Game Art & Design, Graphic Design, Web Design & Interactive Media, Interior Design, Media Arts & Animation; and Associate of Science degree programs in Graphic Design. Each program is offered on a year-round basis, allowing students to continue to work uninterrupted toward their degrees.
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is proud of its experienced faculty, many of whom are working professionals, who strive to strengthen students’ skills and cultivate their talents through well-designed curricula. Our programs are carefully developed and defined with the support and contributions of leading members of the professional community who comprise the school’s Professional Advisory Committees. The Art Institutes Program Advisory Committees periodically review curricula to ensure they meet the needs of a changing marketplace and prepare graduates for entry-level positions in their field. Our advisory committees also assist us in ensuring that our equipment and facility appropriately support an effective presentation of our curriculum.
